DancEmotion with Giulia Janssen

Lesson Highlights

  • The course starts with a full-body dance warm-up on the floor, a so-called Floor-Barre, to activate all limbs, joints and core muscles.
  • Following this is movement across the dance space, focusing on dynamics; hereby the cooperation and coordination between several body parts can be felt as unified in one movement.
  • The last part of the class is based on a guided improvisation, in which the own individuality and creativity of the participants can be developed. That means, we separate from the codified dance-vocabulary and explore our own individual motion code.

During the MoveSpiration Weekend this will be applied in the form of 2 DancEmotion classes, taught by Giulia Janssen on Saturday and Sunday.
